As of Aug. 9, 2001- I am having a lot of problems...problems with my j-tube, problems with my entire GI tract, trouble breathing, and other things. Because of so much formula backing up into my stomach, my chronic nausea and vomiting and complications from that, among other things I am discussing options with my doctor. There are not many meds I can try at all due to my long QT. A g-tube may be a possibility to decompress my stomach, but we have to consider that carefully based on my past tube history. I am in a lot of pain a lot of times from pseudo obstructions, among other things. There is just a lot going on. My worst problem lately is excessive thirst and not being able to keep anything down (popsicles, ice chips, gatorade, etc) and my mouth is so dry making me miserable. Hopefully the NE heatwave will pass soon. GP foundation things are underway and we have a name...G-PACT which stands for Gastroparesis Patient Association for Cures and Treatments. The bylaws are being reviewed, and will soon be submitted to the PA Commonwealth for approval and then we will officially operate as non-profit. Since we are not yet official, we are not able to solicit donations at this time, but keep G-PACT in mind and keep checking this site for updates. I have been sick, plus returned from a two week vacation visiting a GP buddy in IL, as well as a funeral for the death of my grandfather. Thank you for your continued interest in me and my site :o)
