Update On Me

As of June 30, 2001-

I am really having a rough time.  I am very very nauseous all the time, a lot of chest pain from esoph spasms, a lot of pain from my j-tube and GP pain.  I am also falling a whole lot because of loss of balance.  This is not a new problem, just increased frequency.  I am weak a lot, and having a lot of migraines too.  I have about 5 appointments within a week and a half of each other soon, so hopefully somebody can figure out something to help!  Thanks for the continued prayers and concern.  I am working with my lawyer and a number of other patients with GP on starting a GP foundation.  It will be official very soon.  For more info, please e-mail me.

I am still having a good deal of pain from the tube and the surgery.  I also have a lot of nausea.  I have recently switched nausea meds, and I am also still on some pain meds.  I have recently developed some migraine headaches and I am not sure what is causing them.  I also am having a lot of chest pain due to esophogeal spasms, so I am now trying nexium and have stopped prilosec.  I hope it works, because the pain is pretty bad sometimes. I also still have some cellulitis remaining in my right arm.  It is sore and bumpy and a bit swollen still.  I am still enjoying my Jeep Wrangler Sport VERY much and have decided I am never driving anything else!  I love this Jeep!! I have a few projects I am working on now with my GP support group members including a GP foundation, GP members home page (info about GP members), and a few other things as well. I am excited about these new things.  Please continue to pray for me as I am getting frustrated about some recent problems.  I did return to work again for my GI doc part time last week.  I need the money, but more than that I needed to get out.

I am still having a good deal of pain at times, but for the most part it is better.  I saw my GI doc today, and he has encouraged me to force down chocolate milk or other things like that to get my stomach moving a bit.  I am still running a fever, so I have been seeing my PCP about that.  The stitches around my tube were taken out on Wednesday, so now I have to keep a close eye on it to make sure it does not fall out, and I have to tape it up really well.  I am excited because I bought my 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport/TJ last Friday.  I have been having a lot of fun with it.  Watch for pics in my photo album soon.  Thanks to everyone for the continued prayers and concern!
